In 2007, Thomas Huriez who was a former IT engineer, opened an ethical fashion store in Romans in his family home. Many of his ethical suppliers closed down so in 2013 Thomas and his brother Grégoire decided to create their own fashion brand called 1083. The brand offers a selection of sustainable jeans and shoes made in France. Since then, Modetic continues to grow and now has 3 other locations in Grenoble, Lyon and Nantes as well as an online store modetic.com selling beautiful organic clothes.
